The story behind the builder
The book is a true story told in his own words. It looks back at the people who shaped him: the faith of his mother, the strength of his grandfather, and teachers who saw potential in a restless young student.
It does not skip the hard parts. Poverty, loss, setbacks and broken trust sit alongside the successes, along with the prayers and promises that kept him going.
It also tells how Garco Construction came to be, and the partnerships, family and faith that have sustained it since 1999.
Why we’re sharing it
For our clients and partners, this is the story behind the company: where Garco’s founder started, and the purpose, integrity and sense of community he built it on.
For anyone starting out with little, the message is simple. Where you begin does not decide where you end up.
The Boy from Constitution Hill is available in paperback from Amazon. ISBN 979-8272741035.
